God Son , 2nd edition

Well I went to the hospital to see BFF and her son, he is so cute. He looks like his dad with his mom's nose.

He is 21 inches long and weighed 8 lb 13 oz.

He doesn't have a name yet since my BFF didn't get back to her hospital room till 10:00 pm and wasn't really with it because of the drugs she was on so mom and dad will talk about it tonight and pick the right name.
After she gave birth the nurses kept the baby at the nurses station all night so she could get some sleep which she really appreciated, she was still out of it this afternoon when we arrived but the new mommy bliss has started and I have to admit my god son is absolutely gorgeous so I'm quite happy as well.

Don't you agree that he's beautiful LOL

God Son

At 7:00 pm this evening my god son arrived safe and sound. My BFF was inducted but by early evening she hadn't progressed so she had to have a C-section.

No name, weight or other details have been given yet because she is still in recovery. I'm so glad they are happy and health.

Annoyed

I am sick and tired of the younger generations not respecting their elders, and this comment is directed at my generation as well.

My father is 60 years old, he has worked in the tire and car industry all his working life so I personally think he is fairly knowledgeable in his field, he is also quite anal retentive in organizing his stuff be it computer pieces or tools. Now one would hope that an employer would tap into his knowledge, but alas they are not, he offers wisdom to organize the car lot and they shoot him down, he questions the cost of non reusable products and suggests a reusable alternative and again he is shot down this is frustrating for him, but that is just the nature of his occupation someone else knows better than you because they wear a suit and my dad wearing greasy overall. WHATEVER.....

My problem with respect is this - one of my father's supervisors is a prick, and I think is in his mid 40's, he wants his car's done before anyone else, he customers have to be catered too before anyone else and he is always right. My father was told by some of his co-workers that this guy was a piece of work, but what my father wasn't told is that this guy doesn't like anyone standing up against him when you talk to him, you are all suppose to be yes men and not have a unique thought in your head, well being a 60 year old man my father has thought in his head and will stand up for himself if you insult him. Well this supervisor didn't like this and tried to get my dad fired for it. It's a good thing the other supervisor and the lot manager went to bat for Dad or he would be out of a job.

My blood is boiling about this if my dad was in the wrong you tell him you don't belittle and insult him and expect him to take it, my father has earned the right to stand up for himself.

Now don't get me wrong my father isn't completely blameless but I don't think a personal should be penalized for speaking their mind or defending themselves against verbal attacks.

Excited

Well I’m getting super excited now my best friend Janelle is due in 12 days with a baby boy. She is quite uncomfortable right now and has the starting signs of pre-eclampsia the doctors aren’t overly concerned at this point but it’s a day to day thing. The doctor has ordered an induction a day before her due date, on the off chance she isn’t already in the hospital. Janelle had a heart to heart with her son last weekend and told him he can come out this Sunday if he wants LOL. I have been shopping like a fiend for him and it has been great fun. I just want everyone to be happy and healthy and arrive soon so I can spoil. As well Janelle’s twin sister is flying in from Australia on the 19th to spend time with Janelle and the new baby awwww.

I have been working away on my cross stitch I have set no goals or deadlines and last night I didn’t even work on MLOTS and it felt great. I finished the hair & blue ribbon down to her chin and now I am going to work on the hair & ribbon that flows down her back.

We have slowly been allowing Pookie to walk/run up the stairs and my mom took her for a very small walk and I think she did great mom was worried because her heart was just going crazy (her words) after the walk but the vet said we had to let her go until she faints so we know her stopping point and she didn't faint after the walk she actually was more hyper than mom had seen in weeks so I think the walk was a good thing. Pookie is a smart dog, after she was runs up my stairs about three times she climbs into her bed or mine and has a little cat nap like she knows she has done too much and has to rest....she's just cute that way LOL.

Pics

Just a quick post to show my WIP pics as promised

To start is CdC, as mentioned before I finished page 1, next time I work on it my goal is to finish page 6.

Here's HAED - Found, not much to show but with all the dark blues and black I just wasn't feeling it. I think the next time I work on it I'm going to follow the 10x10 black rule that some ladies follow and see if that works for me, if it does all the rest of my HAED will be worked in the same way.

Here is my train picture called Maze by Seba Designs I really enjoy it and even though the colors are subtle I think they look great together .

And finally my work on MLOTS. I finished up her face and started on her hair last night, I've kind of switched up the eye a bit so hopefully when I do the back stitching it will turn out alright.

I also think because I'm getting so much done on MLOTS even after a week that I will almost certainly keep with the pattern until I'm finished it and I also think I will slowly work myself back to being a one at a time stitcher it just seems right. I will just have to work out how I'm going to work on a Chatelaine or HAED one at a time.
